How long does setup take?
Most studio owners publish their first class within a few minutes. The booking page, the schedule, and Stripe Connect can be set up in one sitting. We don't make you sit through onboarding calls.
Do you charge per member or per booking?
No. Many booking platforms charge per active member or take a cut of every booking — at StudioBook, $69/month is the whole bill. Unlimited members, unlimited classes, unlimited bookings, no commissions. The only payment fees you'll see are Stripe's standard processing rates, and those go directly to Stripe — not to us.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes — payments go directly to your bank account via Stripe Connect, not through us. We never hold your money. Onboarding is a 10-minute step inside StudioBook setup.
What languages does it work in?
The dashboard, booking page, emails, and receipts are available in English, German, and Portuguese.
Is StudioBook built for studios in my country?
StudioBook adapts to your country automatically. US studios get USD pricing, CCPA + Auto-Renewal-Law compliance, and Stripe Tax for state sales tax; German and DACH studios get EUR pricing, GDPR, and § 14 UStG-compliant invoices; Portugal gets EUR and GDPR. The dashboard, booking page, emails, and receipts follow your language and your market's tax and legal rules — it isn't one generic product with the rest bolted on.
Does it handle sales tax and receipts?
Every paid booking generates a sequential receipt that your bookkeeper can use. Stripe Tax (optional) calculates state sales tax at checkout where applicable. Refunds generate credit memos automatically.
We're already on Mindbody, Acuity, or another tool — is switching painful?
Most studios come from another tool rather than starting from scratch. We import members, classes, and existing memberships from a CSV — and if your current platform makes export awkward, we'll handle the migration with you. Your members keep their bookings, you keep your history.
Is there a mobile app?
StudioBook works as a Progressive Web App today on iPhone and Android — members add it to their home screen straight from your booking link, with no app-store download or account. Fewer steps, fewer drop-offs. A native StudioBook app is on the roadmap as demand grows, and a branded app for your own studio is planned as an add-on.
What if I want to cancel?
You cancel from your account page in two clicks. No phone call, no retention team, no exit interview.
What if I get stuck during setup?
Whenever you need a hand, we're here — write to us and we usually reply the same day, often within the hour. If a quick call would unstick you faster, we'll happily jump on one. Setting up your studio shouldn't feel like a project on its own.
How do I know my data is secure?
Your data lives on encrypted Supabase infrastructure in Frankfurt (eu-central-1), in compliance with global data-protection standards. Payments are handled directly by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1), so we never touch card data. Every connection runs over HTTPS, every backup is encrypted at rest, and you can export everything at any time.
